Metro Atlanta Cities Rank High on Money Magazine's "Best Places to Live" List

Dunwoody, Peachtree City, and Roswell made the cut for Money magazine's annual "Best Places to Live" list. Rankings are based upon cities with the highest median income and above average population growth. Dunwoody ranked the highest, at #12 for the Eastern region. Peachtree City was next at #17, and Roswell came in at #19.

Atlanta #4 on Kiplinger's List

Atlanta ranked #4 on Kiplinger's 50 Smart Places to Live list. The criteria used to compile the list included affordable housing, a reasonable cost of living, good-quality health care, and a strong economy. Atlanta ranked high on the list for its rich history, active cultural scene and picturesque neighborhoods.

Atlanta is also an increasingly older city. The Atlanta Regional Commission says that from 2000 to 2005 the older-adult population grew by 30.6 percent, more than double the growth rate of the total population (13.7 percent), and that by 2030 one in five residents will be 60 or older.
